Born in 1980 in Bellingham WA, Beau Anderson became a student of all things Creative after enjoying his early education in Montessori and home school ,Waldorf Schools and Whatcom Community College.. His parents where both Artist , out doors adventurers and avid Cyclists . While in Home school Beau focused on glass alongside his Mother and Wood with his Father . After moving to Arkansas in 1994 he continued his Glass Bead making to the extent that he became a passionate teacher of the Art Form pairing up with his family to generate new designs together and spread the unlimited freedom within techniques found in the History of glass . He found influences in ancient glass along with his historian Step Father in researching glass from Museums and private collections .
After sharing his love for glass around the nation in workshops he co taught with family he began showing strong tendencies towards the 3 dimensional physical form in glass , In 2008 Beau was fortunate enough to take a workshop with the Master in Soft Glass Sculpture and an Italian National treasure Lucio Bubacco in Murano . Since then he has been pursuing the elegant fluid expression of Flame worked Soft Glass Sculpture with integrating nature and human forms in frozen motion , communicating their complex interdependent shared existence .
Beau has been published in Ornament Magazine ,Beading for the Soul by Interweave Press ,Beads of Glass by Cindy Jenkins , 1000 Glass Beads by Lark Books and The History of Beads by Lois Sher Dubin Abrams publishing among others .
Beau has had the honour of installing studios and demonstrating in the Flame working Arts in places such as France ,Ireland , Switzerland , Spain , Northern India in the Tibetan home of Dahli Lama and of course Stone County Arkansas and North Little Rock!
